  • 10%

    Rated as esophageal stricture (DC 7203): documented history requiring daily medications to control dysphagia, otherwise asymptomatic.

  • 30%

    Rated as esophageal stricture (DC 7203): recurrent stricture causing dysphagia requiring dilatation no more than 2 times per year.

  • 50%

    Rated as esophageal stricture (DC 7203): recurrent or refractory stricture causing dysphagia requiring dilatation 3+ times per year, steroid dilatation at least once per year, or stent placement.

  • 80%

    Rated as esophageal stricture (DC 7203): recurrent or refractory stricture causing dysphagia with aspiration, undernutrition, or substantial weight loss, plus surgical correction or a PEG tube.
