Disabled Veteran Homestead Exemption (tiered)
Totally disabled veterans pay no property tax on their homestead; 70%+ get a $10,000 value exemption and 50-69% get $5,000.
Full exemption requires 100% (or 100% via TDIU); $10k tier at 70%+, $5k tier at 50-69%. No age/income limit.

Military retirement pay (and SBP survivor payments) has been fully exempt from Ohio income tax since 2008.
Tied to military retirement status, not a rating; VA disability pay is also tax-free.

Eligible disabled veterans get free fishing, hunting, fur-taker, deer, turkey permits and wetlands stamp for 5 years, plus exemption from state-park camping fees.
